Lily calling out to Jack. Fort Casey, WA

My granddaughter is captured here calling out to her brother, Jack. I
cropped, cloned, blended with soft light...all without really knowing
what I was doing. I liked the outcome. Printed on matte paper to
great effect.
Leah in Shadows. Mt Diablo, WA

I played with this image in Nik B/W. I prefer high key (maybe because
of cataracts). This high key with soft shadows is gorgeous.
Pensive Paula. Anacortes WA

I really like this image. I was playing with bokah, DOF. Accidentally I
actually got Paula's eye in focus.
Paula in afternoon light. Anacortes WA

I wanted the soft afternoon light on Paula and used a see through
plastic shower curtain as a diffusing screen.
Cassie reflecting. Anacortes WA

I never had a model to shoot before. Cassie took over. I grabbed my
camera and shot image after image. Shooting with a model who
knows what they are doing is terrific fun. I found myself saying
"beautiful!", "great", "move this way a tad"...all things I have heard
photographers do on tv, movies.

Bettie Determination Through the Cancer. Moab, Utah

We were hiking near Arches UT when I saw this couple. I asked if I
could take their pix. I took this one and really liked her determined
look. She told me she was in remission from cervical cancer and
feeling great. I sent them the images I took which they appreciated.
Later that year, her husband asked for this specific image as he
wanted to use it on her memorial page. You can see what a strong
human being she was and is for those who remember her.

At the art fair, I saw Susan and asked to take pix of her and her ink
which she obliged. If you look closely, you will see that she is
changing her ink from one view to another.
